This project was of enormous scale, so much so, it was split into two phases. The lead work required was extensive, especially for the bespoke windows. The bossing, forming and welding was carried out on a fully scaffold decked area inside the swimming pool building with easy access to the outside areas via the large front facing window which was later installed.
Using the flat lead dresser, bossing stick and mallet and bending and setting in tools our tradesmen had to create and weld the lead window flashings in 150mm sections to suit the bespoke manufactured roof windows and have these fully installed before the glass fitting.
Throughout the various roof areas lead was dressed and installed in valleys, verges, skews around the dormers again, following the Lead Sheet Association guides.
