Developing the Young Workforce Forth Valley

We are delighted to be involved in the DYW Forth Valley Group of which Nicola sits on the board.

The main aim of DWY is to grow meaningful and sustainable partnerships between business and education to develop our young people across the Forth Valley Region and to help meet the Scottish Government’s Youth Employment Strategy whilst reinvigorating Forth Valley’s young workforce.

As I started with an Apprenticeship I hold in high regard this pathway in particular and see it as an excellent way to gain a qualification and earn at the same time. I was never a big fan of school and I totally understand why Apprenticeships are vital to the success of our young people and business too.

I have kind of come full circle, both Nicola and I are working in working in partnership with DWY to help create fantastic relationships between education, the young workforce and business to help promote better opportunities for all involved.

We would encourage anyone who runs their own business to get involved, it’s not just for the giants in business, it’s for everyone – give us a call on 01324 639006 to find our more and we can point you in the right direction.
