Coaltown Re Roofing Program

Kingdom Housing Association Re Roofing Program, Coaltown of Wemyss

After a rigorous procurement selection process through Public Contracts Scotland we were delighted to be awarded the contracts to see us deliver re-roofing to over 50 homes in the small Fife village of Coaltown of Wemyss for a local housing association. This area is one of 48 conservation areas over seen by Fife Council, the properties on the Fife East coast are renowned for their red pantile roofs and after these contracts we can safely say we are experts in our field.

Due to falling within the conservation area the choice of material was critical and had to ensure the aesthetic of the homes was protected and in keeping with the character and appearance of the area. Following collaboration with ourselves , the housing association and Fife Council the chosen tiles were the Sandtoft Pantiles Neo.

These projects have spanned a few years and despite being forced off site by the pandemic we were able to ensure that all homes in this time frame were kept wind and water tight until the restrictions were lifed.
