This traditional style cottage was in need of some Rooftec love, the Rosemary tiles previouslyon the roof were past their best and a new roof was the only remedy.Once stripped we replaced thefelt with VP400, installed all gradedtile and counter battens, new lead valleys and got to work with the tiling. The replacement tile selected was a Redland Rustic Red DuoPlain. Now this tile was is nota like for like replacement of the Rosemary but itachieves thelook of a smallertile format. The Duo Plain is a larger format tile, which reduces labour and material costs but it has the two-tile segment feature and gives the appearance of two tiles rather than actually installing two smaller Rosemary tiles. This works well to keep the traditional appearance for certain properties. Like all our roofs the BS5534 standards were adhered to ensuring all tiles were nailed and clipped to safe guardwarranties from manufacturers. As well as this we installed adry ridge and hip system, the benefit of this is the need for maintenance to cement joints is removed as the as thehips and ridges are securely fixed. New rainwater goods were also supplied and fitted andas from the photos you can seeand excellent overall finished roof.
